Travel around Barcelona with Bobby

The reasons why I chose to visit Barcelona are several. Firstly, I wanted to see Antoni Gaudí’s works up close and experience his mesmerizing architectural style. Additionally, the warm Mediterranean climate and beautiful beaches provided a perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. Barcelona’s historical essence, with iconic areas like the Gothic Quarter and La Rambla, heightened my desire to explore. The city’s vibrant cultural scene, including its art galleries and museums, also piqued my interest. Lastly, tasting the exquisite flavors of Spanish cuisine made this trip an unmissable experience for me.

Day 1 The Magic of La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter

On my first day in Barcelona, I found myself in the heart of the city, on La Rambla Street. This street immediately drew me in with its energetic atmosphere and bustling streets. Filled with street performers, small stalls, and cafes, I visited La Boqueria Market to taste fresh fruits and local delicacies. Then, I moved on to the Gothic Quarter, wandering through narrow streets and getting lost among historical buildings. Here, I visited the Barcelona Cathedral and marveled at its stunning architecture. For dinner, I sat down at a tapas bar in Plaça Reial and tried various tapas dishes.

Day 2 A Day in Gaudí's World

I dedicated the second day to exploring the unique works of Antoni Gaudí. Early in the morning, I went to Sagrada Família. The iconic basilica’s intricate details inside and out left me in awe. Later, I moved to Park Güell and explored Gaudí’s colorful designs intertwined with nature. While walking in the park, I enjoyed the panoramic views of Barcelona. For lunch, I sat at a small café in the Gracia neighborhood and enjoyed a local specialty called “pa amb tomàquet.” In the afternoon, I visited Gaudí’s other works, such as Casa Batlló and Casa Milà (La Pedrera) on Passeig de Gràcia.

Day 3 Sun and Sea in Barceloneta

I dedicated my third day to Barcelona’s coastal area, Barceloneta. I started the morning by sunbathing on the beach and swimming in the cool waters of the Mediterranean. Walking along the shore, I enjoyed fresh seafood at seaside restaurants. In the afternoon, I visited the Picasso Museum and examined the famous painter’s works. After the museum visit, I strolled through El Born, exploring art galleries and boutique shops. For dinner, I stopped at a tapas bar in El Born and tried seafood tapas.
